Jeannette Andamasaris
As a Principal Partner of Studio Figure, Jeannette oversees creative direction and leads projects through all phases of the design process. Her work ranges from performance art and dance, to design and marine biology, all of which took her around the world and led her to co-direct Studio Figure. She holds an Masters Degree in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design, where she was awarded the Thesis Prize for her research titled Adoration, which rethinks and redesigns domestic violence shelters. Her research on bodily movement as an empowering and functional aspect to shaping interior space remains a key focus for Jeannette. Professionally, she has been a project manager on numerous design-build projects from ground up buildings to commercial and hospitality interior renovations. In addition, she is an design educator and has taught architecture and design studios at James Madison University and Virginia Commonwealth University.
Principal Architect - AIA
Nicholas Brinen
Nick is a licensed and registered architect in Virginia, Texas, and New York. He is a Founding Partner of Studio Figure, where he oversees all project typologies across various scales. He is LEED AP BD+C and NCARB certified and a member of NOMA. In addition to co-directing projects at Studio Figure, Nick has taught architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design, University of Virginia, Pratt Institute, and Parsons School of Design. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at James Madison University where his research focuses on multilateral tolerances between hyper-local material resources, academia, and participatory practices.
